Andrea Cominola received his PhD in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano in early 2017, with his dissertation on modelling urban water consumer behaviours and research contributions to the EU project SmartH2O, awarded in 2018 with the WssTP Digital Water Prize. Previously, he obtained his BSc cum laude in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2010 and the Alta Scuola Politecnica double-degree and MSc cum laude in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino in 2013.
From February 2017 to March 2018 he has been Postdoctoral research fellow in the Natural Resources Management group of Professor Andrea Castelletti at the Department of Information, Electronics and Bioengineering of Politecnico di Milano. He moved to Berlin in April 2018 as a Post-doctoral research fellow at the Chair of Fluid System Dynamics of the Technische Universität Berlin. In early 2016, he was visiting PhD candidate at the Watershed Sciences Center and Center for Water-Energy Efficiency of UC Davis (CA - USA). Formerly, Andrea has been visiting researcher at Korea University, and visiting student at PennState University and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Since 2013 he is Alumnus member of the Alta Scuola Politecnica Alumni Association, and he was also its secretary in 2014-2015 and President of its Warranty Committee in 2016-17.
